Many questions follow last weekends grim discovery of a massacre at a remote Alaskan research station.

The sub zero temperature and spartan landscape offers few clues as to the identity of the undead assailant who broke into the small research facility in Nome, Alaska last Saturday evening, killing all 9 researchers. Their brutal deaths lead to their own re animation and subsequent neutralization by military responders.

Authorities remain reticent to speculate or even elaborate on the nights events in question. This mornings brief press conference seemed to offer few new details. "Our efforts at this point are focused on offering support for the families of those who lost their loved ones in this terrible tragedy." said a spokesperson for the research team known collectively as 'Cicero' (Climate In Control & Environmental Research Organization).

Quarantine
The small town of Nome has been in a state of quarantine and annexation since Wednesday. Authorities were criticized for the seemingly long lag time between Saturdays massacre and Wednesdays cordone. In defense Nome police chief Robert Grice said "There are few roads in or out of Nome. We had all exits monitored with helicopter units. We've got backup from Anchorage but it takes a while to get everything in place. The sever weather conditions would mean that any undead presence in the area would subsequently freeze and remain immobile. We know this, we saw it happen with the unidentified individual we found early Sunday."

Identity unknown
The frozen male found in the snow 3 miles from the scene of the slaughter has been confirmed as an infected necro-mortosis carrier. Blood found upon his body also matched that of two of the researchers. His naked and as yet unidentified body only ads to the air of mystery surrounding the whole event. He is described as male, in his late 20's - early 30's. Caucasian. 5' 11" tall and weighed 210 lb. Anyone who may have information as to the identity of this person is requested to contact local authorities .
