| Ann Weber, the 72 year old grandmother of David Weber, the infamous 'cave zombie' was arrested this evening. A sheriffs squad car was seen leading Weber away followed by a relentless pursuit of photographers and curious neighbors.
Within this town, suspicion has been rampant regarding the role David Weber's grandmother played ever since it was announced that a 'person or persons' had been assisting David Weber to continue his habitation of the abandoned tin mine until his discovery and neutralization on June 14th. Dozens of empty packets of raw meat were discovered at the site along with restraints long since chewed through. There has been speculation that David Weber may have contracted the mortosis virus on a recent trip to South America. However, it has now been revealed that Weber left Needles the day after his return and traveled to san Francisco. He stayed there alone for almost two weeks before returning. He disappeared shortly thereafter. ZWN's
Science Editor - Dr. Nancy Chan commented that "he could not have
contracted mortosis on his trip to South America because within two
days of exposure he would have shown unmistakable signs of health deterioration.
Mortification and decay would follow by day three at the latest. He
certainly would not have been traveling to San Francisco."
