An executive order rushed through by the outgoing administration as a last minute attempt to silence the media was lifted today.

President Bush issued the 'gag order' on December 15th. 2008. It effectively stopped all USA media groups from further reporting on the advancement of the mortosis virus and its ongoing threat to the stability of world health.

However, today President Obama signed a new executive order reversing that decision. In a brief statement The President said "We as a nation must move forward in step with the rest of the world. To silence the media is to silence oneself. The media is in essence all of us. We all know the threat is out there. Many of us have lost a dear friend or family member to this terrible disease. But if we turn out the light of information, then we are left stumbling, afraid, and in the dark."
