Dressing as a 'Zombie' Could Get You a Large Fine This Halloween |
For the third year in a row, the unpopular 'Halloween ban' will be enforced again. Prompted by the Miami outbreak of 07, many states have adopted the controversial policy of imposing a fine of up to $2500 for 'impersonating an undead.' The reasons are clear. In November of 2007 following the Miami outbreak, a tragic event cumulated in the unlawful slaying of two halloween party goers. Mark Gleeson (21) and Jason Bentchley (20) were shot by Nathaniel Tarcher (56) after he saw the two students, dressed as zombies, searching for an illegally held halloween party.
New York, New Jersey, Washington, and California voted against such a ban although it is returning to the ballot again for the mid term elections.
