Outbreak Spreads to State Park |
|
A spokesperson for CRS confirmed today that the outbreak has spread north to Hugh Taylor Birch State Park. "A significant undead presence has been located in the State Park area. We have dispatched several MDPD helicopters equipped with sharpshooters to track and neutralize these reanimators." One reporter raised a concern that the MDPD may inadvertently shoot and kill live people by mistake. The spokesperson responded "All efforts to ascertain confirmation will be made before 'shoot to rekill' permission is granted. This includes several sweeps by the helicopter in front of the reanimate. Followed by a megaphone warning to stop." It is of particular concern that the outbreak has spread so far so rapidly. Despite a presence of some 1500 Home Guard troops and a quarantine and curfew of the area, the outbreak seems to be spreading still. Questions will undoubtedly be raised as to how the reanimate problem has spread so far north of its origin. "We have to face the possibility that this new presence is not related to the Golden Beach outbreak" the CRS spokesperson commented. "There is still a large problem with cuban 'Floaters' around the our coast line shores. This could be a result of a 'Floater' running ashore."

The undead was rekilled. The condition of the injured workers has not been released. An official evacuation of the hospital has not been announced by the city at this time, and so there is a large number of patients still within the hospital wards. However, according to a hospital spokesperson "A contingency plan is in effect to evacuate all patients and non essential staff if necessary. An evaluation has been made of the situation and offers to help relocate all willing patients is in effect." Turnberry
