| Captn. Argyle of the Miami Incident Command held a brief press conference this afternoon. "We are all very concerned for the well being of the two missing women. Equally our thoughts and prayers are with them and the family of Ms. Clark. We have all available resources combing the immediate area for any signs of their whereabouts." When asked by one reporter about the significance of the Mortosis victim being a local woman, Captn. Argyle responded "It is of the greatest significance. It means the occupants of the Cuban fishing boat, that ran aground off our coast are still at large. We were hoping that the undead individual we rekilled last week was from that vessel. Sadly that's not the case. So he/she or they still need apprehending." When pressed for further details regarding efforts to capture the Cuban reanimates, Captn. Argyle stressed "We are focusing our efforts on the beach area. This is where Ms. Clark was last seen. This is where the two beach volunteers were last seen. If we learned anything from January's New Jersey zombie incident it was that the undead cannot travel far, and when they do travel it's not in a linear path. They have no sense of time nor distance. So our undead could have wandered anywhere, land or sea. They could be walking constantly in an erratic path or simply staring at a wall. Contradictory to popular belief, they don't seem to go seeking food. As I understand it they react if a food source presents itself as an opportunity. Otherwise they can be quite dormant." The Mayor is under increasing pressure to quarantine Miami. However at this point only the immediate beach area has been closed down. |
