Gang Found In 'Fortress' City Mall. |
| In a bizarre case of life imitating art today, police in Miami surrounded the 'Dolphin Mall' on 12th street. This vast shopping complex was inhabited by as many as 149 armed individuals intent on escaping Miamis current undead infestation, according to police reports.
After a tense 7 hour standoff between the armed gang, police and national guard units, all 149 people eventually came out without incident. A police spokesperson said in a short press briefing that those involved were primarily a mixed group of individuals, with no known associations to each other or any gang affiliation. They "seemed to genuinely be frightened enough to burrow themselves into this place and try to sit it out." However, a city spokesperson commented that they will in fact be prosecuted for trespassing and looting. Amongst the weapons seized were 3 AK-47's, 7 x 9mm hand guns and 2 single barreled shotguns. Several of those arrested also had hand weapons such as clubs and baseball bats. Many of the entrance points had been fortified and secured. Armed men were reportedly seen on the roof. "They were not too well coordinated" the police spokesperson continued." But they did have short range communication equipment and tried to cover the whole mall. But the shear size of the place would make that a very difficult prospect. These idiots were a bunch of guys who have seen too much T.V. They figured it would be like in the movies. But it wasn't. They broke in, they vandalized and they are accountable. But they did give up without a fight, which was smart." Charges are expected to be filed Monday Several
