Zombie Hunting License Bill Challenged in Supreme Court Related report: License required |
July 17th. saw the arrival of the hotly contested 'Zombie Hunting License initiative.' This controversial bill, proposed by Senator David E. Schumer, (D) of New York was intended as a way of reigning in many of the rougue and amature hunters who had recently entered the highly dangerous and somewhat controversial profession. "Thrill seekers and profiteers" The Bill ZHB676: The 'Zombie Hunting License initiative, has many supporters, including both the 'International Association of Police Chiefs' and the 'US National Central Bureau of Defense'. However, hard line opposition from many right wing organizations, along with the 'National Rifle Association', have challenged the authority of the bill, on constitutional grounds, and taken it all the way to the Supreme Court. If their challenge upholds, then the bill could be rescinded by the end of the year. Currently, any zombie hunter without a permit, found in a 'none defensive' act whilst engaging an undead for profit, could face up to 5 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.
