The
town of Broome was finally given the Ok for normal daily routine to
continue yesterday as Zombie Hunter Teams and extra police left after
a marathon search for undead came to an end.
All zombies were neutralized within 25 kms of Broome's town center.
The operations leader Cpt Bristow confirmed that Broome is clear in
a statement to Australian Undead News "We, the West Australian
police, along with zombie hunting teams, the Red Devils and Territory
Crocs and with cooperation with the Australian army, are proud to announce
that the greater Broome area is free of all undead presence. All undead
have been confirmed as neutralized and Hazmat is currently cleaning
up the last of the 22 bodies"
Broome had currently been on orange alert, (downgraded from red alert
previously), meaning its citizens were allowed to go about their daily
business, but a 7am to 7pm curfew was in place. Military guards were
stationed on every corner of the street and all roads in and out of
Broome were closed.
In related news, the remains of deceased Zombie Hunters Todd Mendoza
and Gary Watts were buried in private ceremonies late last week by family
and close friends. Red Devils leader, Lenny Goldsack (also known as
Goldy), sent his condolences to the families of the deceased from Broome.
He explained that the men died a valiant and worthy death, fighting
to help keep the Australian continent free of the Necro-mortosis virus.
It is also believed that the Red Devils are searching for replacements
for the two slain hunters. Announcements will be made next week as to
who the latest members will be.
