Missing German Tourists Found - Reanimated

The search for the two missing German tourists, Elena Gerber (28) and Zoltan Strecker (20) came to a tragic end today as both were rekilled by Northern Territory Police. This followed the revelation that both were confirmed to be infected and in a reanimated state.

The two were spotted wandering close to the Stuart Highway, 45km south of Alice Springs by passing motorists who then contacted Alice Springs police officers. The area was swiftly cordoned off, while Police Constable Ethan Oakes and Police Constable Natasha Muirhead, were sent to engage the reanimates.

Constable Oakes later told ZWN that there were no major complications involved with neutralizing the reanimates. "We pretty much just went in and parked about 20 meters from them" he said "Then Constable Muirhead and myself waited til they walked into range and we discharged our weapons, both of us hitting the reanimates in the head twice". A mobile Hazmat team was sent into cleanup the undead remains without any further problems.

The search is now on for other infected in the Alice Springs region. An official spokesperson said "To have two tourists infected and one dead, means that there is still a reanimate problem out there somewhere, and we must contain the situation as soon as possible".
