Police, Hazmat and maintenance crew all go missing in Tokyo metro

Tokyo, Japan (AP)

Hazmat crews continue to search metro line for virus carriers

Tokyo's subway system remained closed for a ten mile radius a second day today, following Wednesdays outbreak of Necro-mortosis.

Concern has grown among Tokyo's commuters and authorities alike since a report on Japans popular 'Zombie Watch Now' stated that two metro police, a team of three hazmat officials and a maintenance crew have all gone missing since wednesdays attack.

The intersection of the Marunouchi Line and the Tozai Line has been cordoned off whilst a large scale sweep of the area is performed by Hazmat teams and police special forces.

Considering the potential nightmare scenario wednesdays outbreak could have posed, the situation might have been a lot graver. Fortunately for many, it was quickly dealt with by terrified commuters, who, in a mob frenzy, beat to death the only person known to have contracted the virus from the original infected person. This act, although criticized by many, has also been recognized as probably containing the virus, and stopping it from quickly becoming an epidemic.

Focus of search:
One area of the vast network of underground tunnels and structures is of particular focus to the police tonight. They are concentrating efforts to cordon off and search a maintenance spot close to the site of wednesdays attack. Apparently, the missing work crew were all assigned to this area wednesday. The two police and three Hazmat officials were also searching that general area when contact was lost. This maintenance spot is within the Tozai line tunnel system.

Identification:
The female reanimator who originally appeared on the platform wednesday has not yet been identified. Her body was burned severely when she wandered onto the live lines in pursuit of a small group of fleeing commuters.

When she is finally identified, it may help to cast some light on where she came from and how she did manage to get so far into a crowded subway without alarm being raised.
