DAY OF THE DEAD
(Remake)

Should be titled 'Yawn of the dead'.....well, according to the internet reception for the trailer so far, it's going to land with a thud.

Seems like the geniuses in casting (we're being sarcastic) have decided to market this one for MTV teens. It's got the usual interchangeable, photogenic actors (and victims). Don't Producers ever learn? One of the great, common appeals of all the best loved Zombie movies was the casting. Memorable characters, People of all ages you could associate with. Problem with casting all young kids in any horror movie is that you expect them all to die. And lets face it they do. An older, more experienced actor has a greater sense of gravity to a story. You assume they will make at least semi rational decisions. And so If they are in peril, it just seems to mean more somehow.

Apparently, this movie has NO connection with the excellent Dawn of the Dead remake. But just to add to the confusion, they cast Big Ving Rhames in it again.
