Situation Deteriorates. Belfast, N. Ireland, UK Posted: 20th, Sept. 2009 ZWN Field Correspondent - M. Dunn (AP) The situation in Belfast has 'deteriorated dramatically' according to Governmental sources. The Irish Government have taken the drastic step of quarantining the majority of Belfast In an effort to slow down the effects of the Necro-Mortosis virus. With sporadic outbreaks of the virus in other cities throughout Northern Ireland the government are desperate to impose control before the virus has a chance to spread throughout Ireland and mainland Britain. The quarantine effectively closes significant areas of Belfast to the outside world except for a large military presence and the delivery of food by armed guard. People have been warned to stay indoors at all times and use the emergency contact numbers if needed. In a hastily arranged press conference A Police spokesperson said “This step has been taken in order to prevent the further spread of the Necro-Mortosis infection. We can assure the public that outbreaks such as the one on Grosvenor Road are an extremely isolated incident” Couple
attacked In her statement to police, O'Brian told how she and Nathan McMahon had been walking when they were attacked by what they wrongly presumed to be a group of “drunken adults”. McMahon scuffled with the 3 attackers. Unfortunately McMahon was over come and forced to the ground, were he received fatal injuries. Linda O'Brian was able to raise the alarm and the police were dispatched to the scene. The officer in charge released the following statement “Yesterday evening at 23:25 officers arrived on the scene at what they presumed was a case of assault. Open arrival they discovered that this was in actuality an undead incident. Upon examination they discovered that the remains of Nathan McMahon had been partially devoured. The forensic team have now confirmed that this was a Necro-Mortosis attack and we are now taking steps to find and terminate the reanimate attackers.” He also confirmed at the end of the press conference that Linda O'Brian was now in a medical quarantine as a precaution and would remain there until medical staff has determined that she is recovered and not infected with the Necro-Mortosis virus. Sadly McMahon had to be rekilled Curfew
in effect Other
incidents Concerns
of the undead rising from local cemeteries has been an ongoing source
of debate as locals attempt to guard and blockade grave sites and mortuaries.
Officials insist that historically the dead do not rise unless infected
with the Mortosis virus, and so unless the recently deceased have fallen
victim of a reanimate attack then no concern is warranted. Officials
also add that any victim of the recent outbreak will have been disposed
of via strict Governmental procedure and not simply buried in a public
cemetery. Important information: Quarantine areas: Sydenham, Knock, Castlereagh, Newtownbreda, Finaghy, Andersontown, Hannahstown. Roads closed
