Authorities have revealed what they believe to be the source of the recent undead outbreak at Belfast's Harland & Wolff ship building yard. One of the identified reanimates Lukas Braun (41) is thought to have contracted the Necro-Mortosis virus from unknown activity, and passed it on through forced contact to French seamen Lazare Dupont (37) & Bastian Garnier (39). Both seamen arrived on a maritime commercial ship two weeks ago.

French authorities confirm that the ships Captain of the French cargo vessel 'Marfret Guyane' reported an incident last month involving a brawl between ships crews whilst docked at Belfast. At the time it was logged as a minor incident involving two separate parties of merchant seamen at the dockside. A report of a minor injury to Dupont was recorded in the ships log and it was treated by the ships medic. The log also confirms that an ailing Dupont was confined to bed rest. Two days later Dupont, along with Garnier were reported missing.

The passing of the virus resulted in a month long lockdown of the ship yard made famous for it's building of the ill fated Titanic ocean liner.

Local Belfast MP Liam Paise, upon hearing the report, commentated that "It beggars belief that these incidents were not treated more seriously at the time. Why did no one connect the dots? Innocent lives could have been saved if people had acted quicker."

The Captain of the 'Marfret Guyane', Etienne Charpentier has been reprimanded by the Maritime Safety Guild and placed on paid leave.

Quarantine to be lifted
Police authorities have also announced today that the quarantine is to be lifted by Wednesday 26th. August. Police spokesperson John Lennighan said in a press conference this morning that "Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the 2 mile wide quarantine will be lifted. I would like to thank the residents of the neighboring vicinity for their patience and understanding during this incident."
