In a major initiative this morning, Danish police raided an abandoned apartment building on Louisevej Road. A ZWN iReporter caught the event on camera (left) as dozens of zombified inhabitants were herded out of the building and corralled into a secured car park holding area. Locals had tipped police off that they suspected the building, once the home of squatters, was now riddled with undead. Cry's and moans "I could here them screaming for help and shouting from the top windows and the balconies." Police authorities have long been aware of the existence and location of this building. They have monitored it with helicopter mounted heat signature cameras. The cold white and blue colors emanating from the zombified inhabitants were a tell tale sign. Satellite reconnaissance was used extensively in planning this part of 'operation clean sweep'. Dozens of armored trucks, riot control vehicles, hazmat teams and quarantine specialists were at hand.
It's not clear why authorities took this hands off approach, but one possible motivation could be that politically it would be wise to avoid a large carnage ' zombie massacre' being televised nationally. Also, such a show of strength by the police could be considered provocative to local residents, who are already demonstrating violently in large numbers just a half mile east of here.
