Second Irish Outbreak

A second Irish outbreak of Necro-Mortosis has occurred within a month. This time in the Republic of Ireland, in the Grange Abbey area of Dublin. An unconfirmed number of reanimates were reported on Sunday evening. The Gardaí were quick to respond and two males and one female were neutralized.

Evacuation
The area around Donaghmede Park remains closed today and all houses in Grange Abbey Close and Grange Abbey Crescent were evacuated as Gardaí continue to search the area for any remaining subjects.

Statement
The Irish Government has also confirmed the outbreak with the following statement “Yesterday evening at around 1800hrs the local Gardaí received an urgent call reporting that a number of undead were wandering the local streets. A rapid response unit was dispatched to the scene and two reanimated Mortosis sufferers unfortunately had to be neutralized. A thorough search continued throughout the night and at about 0630 this morning a further reanimate was found and neutralized."

"In order to protect the public" the statement continued, "a decision was made to evacuate the houses closest to the scene until we can determine that all the undead are neutralized and the area is Mortosis free. We do believe this is currently the case but we have taken the decision to continue the search, in order to grant safety and piece of mind to the local communities”

In the same statement they asked the public to remain calm and patient and ensured that they were treating the outbreak "with extreme urgency" even though compared to last months Belfast outbreak to the north, it was minor in its nature.

One local resident who wanted to remain unnamed said this in an interview “We had helicopters thundering overhead all night last night; I barely got any sleep at all. I know the Government are telling us that the situation is under control but if there are Undead wandering around here they could be anywhere in the country right now”

With Belfast only 114 miles to the north it’s widely suspected that the Undead may have traveled over to the Republic of Ireland. With the border between Northern Ireland and The Republic an open border with no policing, it is suspected that the Undead may have made there way across the border. However, the mystery remains how they managed to get all the way to Dublin before been detected. With this latest outbreak a few Ministers and citizens are calling for the border between the two countries to be closed and guarded due to the recent and ongoing outbreak in Northern Ireland.

Crisis Meeting
With the recent outbreaks in Northern Ireland, Portugal and now the Republic of Ireland, it is been speculated that the European leaders may be on the verge of a crisis meeting to establish ways of tackle the Necro-Mortosis problem and prevent a wider scale outbreak throughout Europe.
