Authorities announced today that Germany's busy Hannover airport has ended it's government imposed quarantine. It was declared 100% free of the deadly necro-mortosis virus. Officials have confirmed that the original contractor of the virus, airport worker Eugene Becker (33) most likely became infected whilst fulfilling his role as 'cargo plane payload coordinator and handler.' A thorough search of the cargo area revealed a damaged shipping container listed to be carrying medical supplies from Haiti. Amongst the supplies were mortosis samples bound for Canadian Laboratories. It is thought that during the transfer of this crate a small amount of mortosis virus leaked through the damaged container. Germany's powerful airport union has urged talks with airport officials in order to protect its members from future exposure. This follows last weeks one day strike by it's members who were joined by Germany's railway trade union 'Transnet. An official investigation into the incident will include meetings with the private air cargo firm 'Niro-air' who shipped the broken container. |
