At the request of the Romanian government, The enigmatic '305' (a reference to a single day record they held for zombie re-killings) were on an operation , to clear out the area surrounding an unidentified quarantine facility. The un-named hospital is thought to be the same notorious facility exposed by ZWN in a series of reports in 2007. (see links above this article). The hospital facility was closed in early 2008. It never recovered from the wake of negative criticism following ZWN's Zandra Corbes, prestigious 2007 Eu. Excellence in Journalism award winning expose. The '305' were dispatched to do a simple 'search and destroy' operation. To eliminate any wandering undead that had escaped since the facilities closure. However, an un named source has confirmed to ZWN that the quarantine facility was never officially closed and sealed. It was simply left abandoned. According to our source, this is thought to have led to a "large population of zombies, roaming the rooms and corridors. As locals and police, investigated, they never returned. The horde just grew and grew." The '305' went in with outdated government information. All 18 members were overwhelmed and killed. Exactly what transpired within the walls of the Romanian hospital may never be fully known. Additionally, There was a small camera crew of 3 who are also thought to have perished. The producer of the show Constanta Vasile said in a statement to the press this morning "We are all stunned by the news. This is a terrible thing. The 3 members of our production team were filming footage for a forth season. They had been working with the '305' since 2008 and had become great friends with the team. This is a tragedy." The backlash to Romanian officials could be huge. The '305' were popular with Romania's public, their exploits were watched avidly on national television in the weekly reality series. They were even popularized in graphic novels and action figures. Temporary memorials of flowers, photographs and makeshift crosses bedecked the TV station this morning.
