Manslaughter Charge Upheld For Man In Undead Attack Haaster is charged with pushing his neighbor and her child into an attacking undead horde resulting in the vicious killing of both.
According to the court recorder testimony, on the morning of March 17th, 2009 everything changed for the 123 trailer park residents who slept in their vulnerable lightly sheltered homes. Haaster was woken at 5am to the sound of barking dogs, this was soon followed by the shuffling of numerous leaden feet. He peered through the blinds of his home and saw 'up to a dozen' walking dead meandering outside his trailer window. Neighbors killed Haaster turned his trailer lights off and tried his best to become unnoticed to the pack of re animators. However, this tactic was challenged within less than five minutes by banging and screaming at the door. He instantly recognized the frantic pleas for help. They were his neighbor of 3 years, Agneta Svard (27) and her 3 year old daughter Inger. Refuge Haaster at first appealed to Svard to quieten the child for fear of arousing the attention of the undead assailants close by. When this failed to work, Haaster opened the door and pushed both Agneta and Ingar Svard outside. It is here where authorities later found the ravaged bodies of both. The defense contradicts this course of events and relates that despite the pleas of Haaster, Svard, fearing for her safety, freely left with her child. They tried to make an escape to her nearby car but were attacked within moments of exiting the trailer. Prosecutors were quick to point out that Svard did not have her car keys with her and that they were later found still in her trailer. The undead attack lasted for over thirty minutes before Police were able to suppress the attack. Nine people, including Agneta and Ingar Svard, were killed by the reanimate attack.
