Underwater
Attack Off |
|||||||||||||
The cornwall coastguard has been put onto high alert after a members of a local scuba diving club reported being attacked by a reanimate whilst diving 1 mile off the coast of Perranporth. One of the divers, 22 year old Gillian McBride is reported
to be missing. This is following an encounter with the submerged undead
whilst exploring local coral formations.
A spokesperson for the group, James Daley spoke exclusively to ZWN today via telephone from a Government quarantine facility. Daley said that the Perranporth.dive area was a popular spot for local scuba and snorkel enthusiasts. The water however, does have a limited visibility of 15-20 feet. According to Daley "We had only been out in the water about 3-4 minutes. We had just finished adjusting for pressure with a slow descent. We always dive in twos. It's a club policy. So myself and Gillian went exploring part of a coral formation about 30 feet down. This was only her second dive after certification. I remember her taking many photo's and we were all having a great dive. Then I saw a shadow, a shape. I thought it was some submerged rags or sea weed. But it broke away from the rocks. I tried to warn her. I signaled. But she took a photo of me. She thought Iwas just trying to get her attention, I don't know. A photo or something. I think she tuned and actually saw it. She took a photo of it. But I have to say I don't believe she could have known what it actually was. It was very hard to distinguish. The other divers saw it though and started to head back to the boat fast. I saw it grab her leg. I tried to hold on to her. But it bit her on the thigh. There was a lot of blood. She lost her respirator in the struggle. I saw her drown." Beaches
closed: There were no reports of injury or infection to the other 5 members. Although they all will remain in quarantine overnight. Perranporth
is a popular surfing tourist destination on the north coast of Carrick,
Cornwall, UK. Perranporth residents are shocked and fear that the discovery
of an undead presence will hit them hard, As a tourist based town they
rely on the summer tourism to carry them through the winter. Speculation
as to the origin of the undead range from it's traveling with the currant
from infected areas of Eastern Europe such as Romania or more central
countries possibly Spain, or the undead could have been dumped illegally
contravening international laws
on the handling of the undead. |
