'House of the Dead' Discovered in London

Brixton, London, England - (AP)
Eyewitness Report from ZWN Field Reporter Craig Turner.

England has seen relatively few undead risings since the plague began. This can be attributed in part, to the same small aegis that has protected the United Kingdom from everything that history could cast it's way. The Spanish Armada to Hitler's Third Reich have tried and failed to breach the English Channel. But these are different times. And today, any sense of peace and security, was shattered by the discoveries made in a modest terraced house in Brixton, London.

There have been fewer Undead sighting in the UK than any other European Country.

Earlier today, neighbors, complaining about a 'horrible smell' contacted the local council. They dispatched a worker to asses the cause. Gas leak? sewer discharge? They found their answer this way:

"My gas register read zero, so I knew there was no leaks. But I could smell the horrible stench. I walked up to the door. Knocked, and heard the most frightening moan. I will never forget it" said council worker Ted Norris. "I thought about calling the Police, but I wanted to check first. So I called out "Are you alright love?" and heard it again. I went to the window and wanted just a quick look in. And this horrible looking face ran up to the window. It was bleeding awful. I ran back, and it jumped at the glass. It didn't smash thank goodness. Double glazing I think. So I ran back into my van and called Police."

What the Police did find, was an extraordinary sight. A total of seven undead. All in various stages of de composure. The longest 'dead', an unidentified male, was, at one point, apparently tied to a wall in the back bedroom. Police surmise that this was a relative whom at some earlier point, had contracted Necro-Mortosis.

The others in the house, all Romanian, tried to deal with it privately."We are not sure why they didn't contact authorities. But it may have been that they were here without a work permit. Perhaps, they were afraid of questions being asked." said Detective Inspector Gregson today.

Special armed Police were dispatched to clear the house.
"We surmise at this point, that the first person to become infected, was tied up in the back bedroom. Unfortunately, he was able to gnaw through his ropes. The door was locked. But the walls were not load bearing. They were dry wall. He simply worked his way through it. That's when the rest of the household became infected. but it does seem to have happened over the course of a few days. the last survivor was barricaded up in the attic. But they got to her somehow. Very sad."
