'Miracle' Woman Dies |
|
Neus Vargas, the 67 year old Spanish woman who was only the second victim of the Necro-Mortosis bite ever to recover, sadly died today. Dr. Khlein of the Valencia Necrosis institute in Valencia, Spain, issued an emotional statement: "With great grief we have to report that Neus Vargas passed away early this morning at 4.15am. She suffered a fatal heart attack. Neus was a strong fighter. The strongest we have known. But her heart had already suffered a series of stoppages since contracting the virus last month. I know that along with the passing of Neus many people will see their own hopes fade for a cure. But please understand she gave us light and showed us that the undead disease can be stopped. Her heart failed her, but there was no signs of the mortosis virus returning. A post mortem has confirmed this. The XL-6 inhibitor, along with our own procedures were successful. We know that Neus's name will live on and give strength to mortosis sufferers and their loved ones everywhere." A young German woman - Silke Koch, is the only other known survivor of a mortosis infection who resisted re animation. According to sources she is doing well and maintaining a startling recovery after being administered the experimental XL-6 drug. Amcalon Corporation, the makers of the XL-6 inhibitor saw a sharp decline in the value of their stocks this afternoon after news of Vargas's death hit Wall Street.
