A source within the NHS today, revealed that a
suspected 'minor' outbreak of Necro - Mortosis may have been deliberately
concealed by Health officials.
Our source revealed, on the condition of anonimity, that an unnamed patient,
upon visiting his doctor and complaining of experiencing flu like symptoms,
was misdiagnosed. The unnamed doctor apparently confirmed the flue misdiagnosis.
He was sent home with instructions to 'sign off' from work for a week.
Two days later he was admitted to Wolverhampton's New Cross Hospital.
It is here that he quickly succumbed to the virus and died. Fortunately,
His case was noticed by a staff member who ordered the bodies instant
isolation. As routine, the ward was quarantined and all staff and fellow
patients tested thoroughly for infection. All were found to be clear
of the virus. However, according to a health official spokesperson at
the hospital "the incident was nothing other than "an exotic
strain of the flu virus. We always test for mortosis in situations such
as this. Quarantine is also mandatory."
Debate
The UK has had several small scale infestations., but none of the extent
the rest of Europe has seen. This is thought to be due largly to the
island nature of the United Kingdom. The one mainland entrance, Britains
'Chunnel' to France is closely guarded, however, the constant influx
of Eastern Europeans has created a hot bed of debate upon the parlimentary
floor. The incumbent Labor governments new PM Gordon Brown has reafirmed
his commitment to have the channel tunnel remain open. Frances new President
Nicolas Sarkozy has also stated his support
to keep it open also.
It is believed
that the man contracted the virus following a recent trip to The Dominican
Republic.
