News Blackout As Living Dead Walk In Jerusalem Tonight
Posted: April 14, 2007

(ZWN) Jerusalem--- At 10:03 am local time, 25 military helicopters evacuated the Israeli seat of government from Jerusalem to an undisclosed secure location as the Undead appeared within site of IDF positions along Jerusalem’s Muslim Quarter

At this time, an unknown number of the Undead, who’s numbers continue to grow exponentially throughout the night, are wandering into the city as IDF and improvised Palestinian forces fight a battle of attrition to hold strategic lines of defense.

Blackout:
There has been a citywide news blackout. This, Israeli authorities insist, is to curb panic and fear. However, the opinion of many residents is that it will in fact exacerbate the situation helping to give rise to rumors and false reports.

We do understand from our sources that the Christian and Armenian Quarters remain relatively untouched at this time

Any effective defense of the religious sector was hampered even before dawn had broke, as skirmishes between IDF and Palestinian forces prevented a cohesive strategy. This, along with the news blackout, is adding to the general chaos.

From the vantage point of the roof of our secure bunker, ZWN can report small skirmishes at the Church of the Nativity, where occupants, many being monks, nuns, and priests are casting flagstones from the roof down on a scattering of the Undead below, and the Wailing Wall, where it appears IDF soldiers are stationed, seem to be alert but not engaged with fighting at this time.

Dome of the Rock lost:
However, the al-Haram al-Sharif, also known as the “Dome of the Rock,” or “Temple Mount,” has been lost. Through the night Palestinian police and Muslim pilgrims fought against the Undead, at one point even setting cars and trucks ablaze and sending them racing down the ramps from the Dome into the hordes of approaching Reanimates. A number of unconfirmed suicides have been reported there.

The mobilization of the Syrian Armed Forces along the Golan Heights and Lebanon is further hampering efforts to defend Jerusalem as the reserve troops originally activated to reinforce city’s beleaguered soldiers are pushed into emergency duty along the Syrian frontier

Gruesome sites as nightime street battles flair up. Rocks are thrown at the Undead where ever they wander within view. Other infected's are surrounded, beaten with sticks and set alight.

En route back to our “Necro-proof” bunker from today’s news conference, the ZWN convoy was stopped by a group of unidentified armed men who commandeered our vehicles and weapons. Fortunately, the three block walk back to our bunker was uneventful, as the Undead concentration in our specific area is relatively light.

As evening falls, a crowd of concerned local residents is congregating below us demanding entrance to our compound. Tempers are running high as many of our group feel we should open our doors to the survivors, while others, including our production and security staff, feel the risk of infection is too great. Rocks have been thrown, and at least one gunshot was heard.
