(ZWN) Jerusalem--- At 3:15 pm local time today the controversial news blackout surrounding the Undead threat on Jerusalem was lifted. A clearer picture is only now beginning to form, but early reports suggest that as many as 1000 reanimator's descended onto the city, lured in a 'heard' like mentality to feed upon the people of Jerusalem. A further 1500 - 2000 were said to have been infected as a result of altercations and attacks from the Undead. Government sources insist that "all known cases of Necro-mortosis have now been either quarantined or eliminated." There has been no official breakdown of casualties. However, a large percentage are thought to be soldiers and police, who were charged with the task of defending the main entry points to the city. |

Jerusalem has been widely praised for it's handling of the crisis. It's ability to fend off the hordes of undead give rise to hope for many other cities facing possible scenarios similar to this throughout the world. However, it's choice to impose a city wide news blackout was criticized within the journalistic community. "The choice was made to reduce journalistic errors in reporting and minimalize panic during the crisis." was the official response to these criticisms today. Clean

Controversial news broadcaster Scot Chierbeck, who journalistic behavior was widely criticized during the past week, has been 're assigned' to his old anchoring job with 'Australian Undead News.' 'Although we were somewhat concerned by some of Scots methods of journalism recently, we do value the considerable expertise and level of professionalism he brings to the job on a daily basis." said an official AUN news release today. |
